Chapter 20: Battling Champ

[Scene opens on the Kislev rooftops. Fei and Citan head back down to the dorm. Scene change.]
[Scene opens on the main area of the dorm. Rico is in the cafeteria. Fei and Citan walk up to him. Camera pan to behind Rico.]
RICO
"You're late! You made me wait for ages!"
FEI
"Oh, errh, sorry!"
[Fei keeps talking.]
FEI
"Later, the doc said he wanted to pay the courtesy of burying the
monster...
so I waited outside."
RICO
"... Is that so? Oh well, at least the murders have been brought to
an end!"
CITAN
"Yes, that is right. And Fei has been proved innocent as well!"
RICO
"...
And I guess the out-of-bounds order on the sewers was lifted
straight after that too ...
Anyway, my allying with you ends here... The next
time we meet, Fei, we will be opponents!"
[Rico smirks.]
RICO
"C'mon, try and beat me! I'd enjoy seeing you try to settle your
scores with me!"
[Rico starts to walk away, but stops when Fei talks.]
FEI
"Hey, what about that wound to your arm? You can't try to Battle in
that state!"
[Rico doesn't look back.]
RICO
"... Can you really afford to worry about your opponent?"
FEI
"... But, Rico?"
RICO
"Worry about yourself before others! Don't hold back now! Give me
your best fight!"
[Rico turns to Fei.]
RICO
"If you don't do your best, you could be the one who dies..."
FEI
"... Understood..."
RICO
"Right. That's good..."
[Rico leaves. Scene cut to the side of Fei and Citan.]
CITAN
"Right, now that that matter is resolved, I have done all I can do
to help...
What is left is up to you, Fei. You must settle this other problem
with your own hands."
FEI
"... I guess so."
[Citan turns to Fei.]
CITAN
"Does his arm wound bother you that much? Fei, you realize we do not
have..."
FEI
"I know doc... we don't have much time to spare!
What's more, what
he says is right - you shouldn't hold back in a battle. Etiquette dictates a
true fight!"
CITAN
"It seems I was overly concerned. Anyway, let's rest up
now.
Remember, you must win up to the Finals League first. And the Champ is
not the only one you have to beat!"
[Scene fade.]
[Scene opens in the bunker. Fei heads up the stairs and out of D Block again to the Battle arena at C Block. Scene change.]
[Begin music: "Stage of Death"]
[Scene opens on the reception area.]
RECEPTIONIST
"Today's the semi-finals. Win 3 matches to qualify for the
Finals League.
Do you want to enter the semi-finals?"
[Give it a try]
[Stop music.]
RECEPTIONIST
"I have confirmed the entry of pilot 'Fei'. One moment
please..."
[Begin music: "The Steel Giant"]
[Camera pan to behind Fei as he walks to face the paddock door. A ding is heard and a shifting of equipment.]
INTERCOM
The Gear 'Weltall' has been sent to the storage paddock. Standby
for boarding!
[A rumble and a shift is heard. Alarm begins ringing. The Gate keeper moves.]
INTERCOM
Pilot Fei, please proceed to the competitor's paddock!
[Fei runs into the dock.]
[BATTLING MODE: WELTALL VS. HATAMOTO]
[Begin music: "Stage of Death"]
[Scene opens on the reception area.]
RECEPTIONIST
"Hmm, not a bad battle! Keep up the good work!"
[The receptionist pulls something out.]
RECEPTIONIST
"Here's the prize money paid to winners of a Battling bout.
It's well earned!"
Received '1500G' in prize money!
RECEPTIONIST
"Oh and Supervisor B will pay you a special bonus. Keep up
the good work!"
Received '400G' bonus!
[Fei heads back to the receptionist.]
RECEPTIONIST
"... 2 matches to win before you qualify for tomorrow's
Finals League.
Enter the second bout of the semi-finals?"
[I'll

[Stop music.]
RECEPTIONIST

[The receptionist pulls something out.]
RECEPTIONIST
"Here's the prize money paid to winners of a Battling bout.
It's well earned!"

RECEPTIONIST
"Oh and Supervisor B will pay you a special bonus. Keep up
the good work!"

[Fei heads back to the receptionist.]
RECEPTIONIST
"It's the last bout of the day! Win this to qualify for the
Finals League!
Do you want to enter the day's final bout?"

RECEPTIONIST

[Scene opens on the reception area.]
RECEPTIONIST
"Hmm, not a bad battle! Keep up the good work!"
[The receptionist pulls something out.]
RECEPTIONIST
"Here's the prize money paid to winners of a Battling bout.
It's well earned!"
Received '2500G' in prize money!
RECEPTIONIST
"Oh and Supervisor B will pay you a special bonus. Keep up
the good work!"
Received '800G' bonus!
[Hammer runs to the door, jumps, and runs out of the side area. Scene cut to behind the Gate Keeper. Fei turns to Hammer.]
HAMMER
"Bro, you did it! You won! You're the Battling Champ! ... or, close
enough anyway!
Victory is in reach! If you just win tomorrow's Finals League
we'll have our names cleared and be released!"
[Fei shakes his head and looks down.]
FEI
"But Hammer, you know my opponent is no pushover! His power is
incredible...
He's been Battling Champion for three years straight! Beating
him's going to be no easy task...
Up till today I've managed to win somehow,
but tomorrow is another matter! I doubt that I will win."
HAMMER
"... If that's your attitude you'll lose even if you could've
won!
Come on bro, show some fighting spirit!"
[A pause. Fei looks up and then laughs hard. He turns back to Hammer from the side.]
FEI
"... Hahaha, I didn't think you'd be the type to say something like
that!"
[Fei turns around and nods.]
FEI
"You're right! I'll never win with these pre-battle blues.
Thanks
Hammer! Well then, let's head back to our lodgings now."
HAMMER
"I'd like to be able to say 'no problem', but tomorrow's Finals
League is important!
Don't you think you should take care in servicing and
customizing your Gear? Our fates depend on it!"
[Fei looks down.]
FEI
"... Gear servicing, heh? Leaving it just to one mechanic worries me a
bit.
I'll ask the doc to give us a hand also!"
HAMMER
"A bit of a worry!?
That's not so Bro! This here mechanic is
doing the best he can, y'know!"
[Fei turns around to Hammer, looks down, then shakes his head and looks up.]
FEI
"I didn't mean it that way, so don't get all upset now,
Hammer!
Anyway, let's go back to our barracks and call the doc, shall
we!?"
[Fei starts to leave. Hammer starts to follow, then stops.]
HAMMER
"Wait! Don't you think you should save your Battling record in the
'Memory Cube'!"
[Fei turns around and looks down.]
FEI
"I suppose I should..."
[Fei nods. Fei walks over and uses the Memory Cube. Then he returns to Hammer. Camera pan to behind Fei on the side.]
HAMMER
"You finished the day's Battling safely, hey, bro?
Why not
return to your quarters and rest up a bit?
Or you could buy
something!"
[Hammer's Gear parts]
HAMMER
"Hey hey! Thanks again man! That warms me pockets! So... are you
heading back now?"
[Hammer keeps talking.]
HAMMER
"Oh and bro! You did save your Battling record in the 'Memory Cube'
didn't you?"
[Fei heads up the stairs towards the arena exit. Scene fade. Stop music.]

[Begin music: "Jaws of Ice"]
[Scene opens on Weltall's paddock. Hammer and Citan are at the base of Weltall, who is in the landing position. Fei is on the bent knee, doing some work on the shoulder. After a few tinkers, he stops and shakes his head. He puts his arms out to the side.]
FEI
"... Is that all?"
HAMMER
"Yep. This is the best that can be obtained 'round here."
[Fei turns to the side, then looks at Hammer.]
FEI
"You think I can win with these crude parts?"
[Citan begins thinking.]
CITAN
"You have got a point.
Compared to the Champ's Gear, the quality
just does not match up."
HAMMER
"There's nothing we can do.
Master Rico's Gear is a special make
of Gear provided by the Committee.
From maintenance to parts, it receives the
best of everything.
As long as money is involved, the Champ will go all
out.
That's one of the reasons he's so powerful..."
[Fei shakes his head, jumps off Weltall and lands next to Hammer. He turns to Hammer from the side.]
FEI
"Can't we get better parts? This..."
VOICE
Hah ha ha ha ha!
[A voice chimes in from off screen from above.]
MYSTERIOUS VOICE
"As usual, you haven't learned anything have you?"
[Everyone turns around towards camera.]
FEI
"Who's there!?"
[Camera pan up to the right gantry, then the left. Nothing there. Keep panning up to reveal, that standing on top of a pillar between the two gantries is Wiseman!]
WISEMAN
"Long time... Fei."
[Scene cut to behind Wiseman from above.]
FEI
"You're the one... from the Aveh tournament..."
[Fei turns towards Wiseman and puts his hands on his hips.]
FEI
"What do you want? I'm busy right now!"
WISEMAN
"Hmph.
No matter how high quality your Gear may be, you won't
be able to defeat him."
[Fei drops his hands and looks up again.]
FEI
"Wh, what're you talking about!?"
[Wiseman fades from sight. Fei looks around on his sides.]
FEI
!?
[Scene cut to original shot. The three are looking all over the place. Pan around Weltall and up to the gantries slowly, then back to the floor. Wiseman begins to fade into view behind Hammer.]
HAMMER
"Yikes!?"
[Hammer backs up. Stop music.]
[A short pause.]
[Begin music: "Knight of Fire"]
WISEMAN
"You still do not understand do you? Then let me show you."
[----Battle mode----]
[Fei is squared off against Wiseman.]
FEI
"Why do you suddenly want to fight for? Are you crazy or
something?"
WISEMAN
"Enough talk! Take this...!"
[Wiseman fires a couple of ether laser shots at Fei.]
FEI
"Whoa!"
[Wiseman stops.]
FEI
"Y, you're serious?"
WISEMAN
"Of course! So put up a good fight!
Cause if you don't your
life is mine!"
[Battle: Fei vs. Wiseman]
[After exchanging some lethal moves, Wiseman hits Fei with an attack similar to Fei's style. Fei kneels.]
FEI
"Ugh uhh... That's the same technique as me...! How come...?"
[----End battle mode----]
[Scene opens on Weltall's dock from previously. Wiseman's cape blows for a few seconds.]
[Begin music: "Jaws of Ice"]
WISEMAN
"Fighting brute strength with brute strength is a sign of a great
fool.
It's obvious that a lighter body such as yours will always be at a
disadvantage in a head-on attack.
I just gave you a good example. That minor
difference between you and I had this outcome.
Now, someone else with a mass
several times as you, like Rico, the outcome becomes highly apparent.
This
applies to Gears as well...
Even if you were to get parts comparable to
Rico's, there is still that difference in mass.
To make up for this, one must
commit to a single final strike that thrusts at the opponent's fissure."
[Fei looks down.]
FEI
"...?"
[Fei looks at Hammer. Wiseman turns away.]
WISEMAN
"I have given you the hint.
It's up to you to figure it out
through experience."
[Wiseman begins to walk away. Fei walks after him and speaks, stopping him.]
FEI
"Wait! Why is it that you have the same fighting style as I!?
And,
how do you know my name!? Tell me!"
[Wiseman turns to Fei.]
WISEMAN
"Hmph... fine."
[Fei nods. Wiseman walks off with his back turned a step or two.]
WISEMAN
"It was 3 years ago...
The one who took you, in your mutilated
state, to that mountain village was none other than myself."
FEI
"You're the one who brought me to Lahan!?"
WISEMAN
"... Yes. At your father's request."
FEI
"My father's...!? What's your relation to my father!?"
[Wiseman walks back towards the group and stops near Hammer. He does not look at Fei.]
WISEMAN
"Khan and I were fellow students."
[Fei turns to Wiseman.]
FEI
"... Khan? Is that my father's name?"
WISEMAN
"Why do you ask for your father's name? You haven't lost
your...?"
FEI
"Yeah... So tell me anything you can. Will you?"
WISEMAN
"I see... In your injured state...
I wouldn't have been
surprised..."
FEI
"Wiseman."
WISEMAN
"... Khan Wong.
That is your father's name. Since our youth,
Khan and I studied the martial arts together..."
FEI
"Father and you...?"
WISEMAN
"... Yes. Eventually, your father became an officer of a certain
country.
There he met a young woman. She was about 20 years old. Her name was
'Karen'.
She was like a flower in full bloom."
[Fei looks down.]
FEI
"Flower...?"
[Citan looks at Fei.]
CITAN
"He means that she was extraordinarily beautiful."
[Fei turns to between Hammer and Citan, and looks at Citan.]

[Fei looks at Wiseman.]
WISEMAN

[Fei turns toward Wiseman and shakes his head.]
FEI
"Then my mother? Where is my mother now?"
WISEMAN
"You do not remember that either? ... I see.
... According to
Khan, when you were but a child, she passed away."
[Fei looks down further than normal.]
FEI
"Oh......"
[Wiseman walks away from the group a few steps.]
WISEMAN
"Time passed. During my journey, I received a letter from
Khan."
[Wiseman continues.]
WISEMAN
"The letter said that, his son... was taken away by a man.
Khan
once said you had special powers. The man who wanted that power took
you.
That man was Grahf."
[Fei shakes his head and looks at Wiseman.]
FEI
"Grahf!? He took me away!?"
[Wiseman turns to Fei.]
WISEMAN
"You've met him?"
[Fei nods and looks out, not at anybody.]
FEI
"Yeah... three times."
WISEMAN
"It's amazing you are still in one piece."
[Fei shakes his head.]
FEI
"It seemed to Grahf, that I was still not powerful enough
to
achieve his ultimate goal... Anyway, let me hear more about this
story."
[Camera pan back and up a few feet. Wiseman walks between Fei and Hammer off to the side, not facing anybody.]
WISEMAN
"Khan wished to go find his son, and if possible, he wanted my
help..."
[Wiseman continues.]
WISEMAN
"I agreed to Khan's request and began searching for you...
...
and that man."
[Wiseman continues on.]
WISEMAN
"Then came that one fateful night 3 years ago.
There was a
violent storm. The storm felt as if it was thrown at us through sheer
rage.
That night, Khan notified me that he had located his son.
So I
headed for that location, as if I was drawn to it."
[Wiseman shakes his head.]
WISEMAN
"You and Khan were wounded badly.
I have no idea what had
happened between you two and Grahf. By then, Grahf had already gone.
I don't
know why, but probably he was driven away by Khan.
Khan decided to pursue
Grahf and left me to care for his son.
I provided you with the necessary
first aid and left you in the custody of those village people.
Then I
followed after Khan."
[Wiseman continues.]
WISEMAN
"You probably lost your memory when you were injured then."
[Fei nods.]
FEI
"Why did my father pursue Grahf?"
[Wiseman shakes his head.]
WISEMAN
"I do not even know. Just that he said it was not only for the
sake of
his son, but also for the sake of the world, that that man had to be
disposed of... He added
that if something were to happen to him, I would have
to take care of the rest... I haven't seen or
heard from him since."
[Fei looks down hard.]
FEI
"Grahf said that my father was dead..."
[Wiseman shakes his head.]
WISEMAN
"Hmmm... If Grahf has been appearing in your presence... then that
is
a possibility... That is truly unfortunate..."
[Wiseman continues.]
WISEMAN
"Do you remember anything about your fighting techniques?"
[Fei looks up and shakes his head.]
FEI
"Huh? No... nothing..."
WISEMAN
"Hmmm, your fighting skills were probably taught to you by
Khan.
Khan and I both studied under the same master. That is why my
techniques are similar to yours."
[Wiseman shakes his head.]
WISEMAN
"Well then, I must be off."
FEI
"To where?"
[Wiseman shakes his head.]
WISEMAN
"I will go find him. I need to pinpoint what his intentions
are."
[Wiseman turns to the side away from everyone.]
WISEMAN
"... And also, for Khan's sake."
[Fei nods.]
FEI
"Just tell me one thing. What country was my father an officer
for?"
WISEMAN
"Are you going there?"
[Fei shakes his head.]
FEI
"I don't know. There are other things I have to take care of..."
WISEMAN
"Yes."
[Wiseman answers.]
WISEMAN
"The floating land which tries to hide behind a wall,
protected,
as if to conceal their failure. That is Shevat."
[Wiseman continues.]
WISEMAN
"That is your father's country."
FEI
"Shevat...? The... floating land?"
[Wiseman walks a few steps away.]
WISEMAN
"Farewell."
[Wiseman's cape blows and he fades out of sight.]
FEI
"Hey!"
[Camera pan down to the base of Weltall. Citan walks out from the shadow of the Gear, and Hammer walks closer to Fei a step.]
CITAN
"... What a mysterious person.
Is this the second time you have
met him?"
[Fei walks slowly up and turns to where Wiseman disappeared. Fei nods.]
FEI
"Huh? ... Yeah.
Since that tournament in Aveh. He sure is a
mysterious person..."
[Fei shakes his head. Fei and Hammer both speak at the same time.]
FEI
"I probably won't understand straight away what he meant
today...
[Fei's conversation pauses while Hammer is rambling.]
But I think
I get the general idea. I might be able to do something in tomorrow's final
round...
The differences in the performance of the Gear parts are not going
to influence the outcome...
... Well, not as much as I thought before."
HAMMER
"What was all that about? He disappeared like the w, w,
wind!
I've only known you since you arrived here!
What is this Aveh
tournament?"
[Hammer keeps babbling.]
HAMMER
"What is going on!!"
[Continue Fei's dialogue after this line.]
[After Fei finishes talking, Citan begins thinking.]
CITAN
"Never underestimate the situation.
You might lose pretty badly
if you think you can just win by getting a grasp of the concept."
[Fei turns to Hammer and looks at Citan.]
FEI
"I know, doc."
[Citan looks up.]
CITAN
"Well, let us return to our quarters and rest, Fei...
Your fate
lies in the outcome of tomorrow's competition. You need to preserve your
strength."
[Scene fade. Stop music.]

[Begin music: "Invasion"]
[Scene opens on the D Block bunker. Fei heads into Citan's room and talks to him.]
CITAN
"...
(Finally, it is the last day of the Games... the finals!
Remember what you-know-who taught you!)"
[Citan continues.]
CITAN
"(So, be on your way... I must stay here but I will be praying for a
good fight!)"
[Fei heads up the stairs. Scene change.]
[Scene opens on main area of the dorm. Fei goes to the chef's counter...(how many times is it now?)]
CHEF
Has Monsieur decided what he wants from 'ze menu yet?
[Yep, I've
decided!]
CHEF
Which would Monsieur like?
[Dishes a 'la rank: Battlin' Steak]
[Camera pans to behind chef.]
CHEF
One moment pleeze...
[Chef turns to the cooks.]
CHEF
We 'ave' 'ze order! One 'Battlin Steak' pleeze!
COOKS
That's right
[The chef goes and gets something from the cooks and takes it to Fei.]
CHEF
Monsieur's victory iz certain! Our glorious 'Battlin Steak' has ze
taste assured by ze use of ze finest ingredientz!
FEI
"Let's see... how it tastes."
[Fei eats.]
FEI
"Scrumptious, flavorsome, nicely chewy... quite good!"
[Fei leaves D Block and goes to the Battle Arena at C Block. Scene change.]
[Begin music: "Stage of Death"]
[Scene opens on the reception area.]
RECEPTIONIST
"Today's the last day of the games... The Finals League! You
get to challenge... Ricardo Banderas !!!
Do you desire to enter the Finals
League?"
[Let me at him!]
[Stop music.]
RECEPTIONIST

[Scene opens on the reception area, Hammer's side. Fei and Hammer are on one side of the room, Rico and two henchmen are on the other.]
RICO'S HENCHMAN 1
"Hey, your machine has been rigged! I'm gonna tell the
Committee on you!"
RICO'S HENCHMAN 2
"Yeah, he's definitely had his Gear equipped with parts
that are in violation of the rules, or somethin'!"
[Rico looks at Henchman 2.]
RICO
"Shut up!!"
[The henchmen back up. Rico shakes his head and looks back at Fei.]
RICO
"... Don't embarrass me any further...
How could such special
parts exist in the Imperial capital anyway!?
Especially since you can't leave
the Imperial Capital with these collars on!"
[Henchman 1 walks up beside Rico and turns to him.]
RICO'S HENCHMAN 1
"B, b, but, Rico... then...!?"
[Rico looks at Henchman 1.]
RICO
"I thought I told you to stop! ... Keep quiet!"
HAMMER
"That's right! It's impossible!
Bro won on his own strength!
Stop trying to trump up false accusations!"
RICO'S HENCHMAN 2
"Uh... bro..."
[Fei shakes his head.]
FEI
"Enough already, Hammer!"
[Rico looks up. Fei shakes his head again.]
FEI
"I won because of luck... and because I had a good teacher!"
[Fei shakes his head again.]
FEI
"... Also the wound to your arm hasn't completely healed yet, has
it?
If it wasn't for that wound I am sure you would have won instead..."
[Rico looks to the side.]
RICO
"Defeat is defeat... My wound is no excuse. The Battling Champion
is... you!"
FEI
"........."
[Rico rolls his eyes and then looks off to the side again.]
RICO
"... Well, I have something I must see to. I'll be off now."
[Rico walks out the room's door. Henchman 1 runs up behind him.]
RICO'S HENCHMAN 1
"Champ! Wait up! Let us go with you..."
[Henchman 2 turns to Rico. Rico does not look back.]
RICO
"I am no longer the champ! You guys will just get in my way! Don't
follow me! OK!?"
RICO'S HENCHMAN 1
"In your way...? But Champ!"
RICO'S HENCHMAN 2
"... Ri-co--!"
[Rico leaves. Hammer walks up beside Fei and begins babbling as the scene fades.]
HAMMER
"This means I am acquitted! I am cleared! Oh, how the freedom
feels!"
[Scene fade.]

[Begin music: "Tears of the Stars, Hearts of the People"]
[Scene opens on a Gear dock. Rico walks in. The Gear is not seen.]
RICO
"... Stier. This is the last... Hang in there with me!"
[Scene cut to close up shot of Stier's midsection. Pan up to the head.]
RICO
"... Get him, myself..."
[Scene fade. The Gear is heard starting up.]

[Begin music: "Knight of Fire" - tempo slower than normal.]
[Scene opens on a airship dock. The door opens. Elly walks out, followed by her unit. They stop and look towards camera.]
RENK
"Hey look, check this out..."
[Scene cut to a shot of what they are looking at... a huge hangar with some strange looking equipment and ships.]
STRATSKI
"There's only one control ship...
The other 7 are all Ether
guided.
Just who the hell is controlling all them?"
VOICE
I never thought you'd be the escort commander.
[Scene cut to previous shot of the troops. They turn back to the door. A woman with white hair in a purple Gebler uniform walks out. Her expression is very cold.]
ELLY
"Dominia!?"
HELMHOLZ
"... Dominia, who's that? Hey, not the one from the
Elements...?"
[Dominia walks through the soldiers to Elly and they scatter to make a path.]
DOMINIA
"It's been a long time Elhaym. The last time was Jugend, wasn't
it?"
ELLY
"What are you doing here?"
DOMINIA
"This is a vital mission, ordered from central.
I already have
Ramsus' orders. The Hecht is not to be piloted by a common soldier.
I will
take the Hecht."
[Dominia pauses.]
DOMINIA
"I didn't even need an escort, but this was also part of the
plan.
This will be a good fight."
[Dominia walks towards Elly and she jumps out of the way. Elly calls back, stopping her. Dominia turns back.]
ELLY
"Wait! Tell me what our target is! You should know."
[Dominia turns to the side.]
DOMINIA
"That's restricted... but I guess I can tell.
The electric
generator in the eastern sector of Kislev's Imperial capital.
The target is a
reactor left there by an ancient civilization."
ELLY
"The reactor!? If you attack that then Kislev will..."
DOMINIA
"Probably most of it will be destroyed.
The rest will be
uninhabitable for hundreds of years."
ELLY
"Why are you doing this?"
DOMINIA
"To purge, why else? You may know this already, Kislev has the
Gatekeeper.
The original gate is controlled by those vulgar Lambs.
This
land barrier was made by our predecessors. The Lambs are trying to destroy the
gate.
Are you going to allow that?"
ELLY
"That may be so... but do we have the right to get involved?"
DOMINIA
"Does that bother you? Since when did you have a
conscience?
War, strife, betrayal, deceit are all that are on the Lamb's
minds.
Surely you should know that by looking at the fools in this
country.
Just let them loose and see what they'd do.
They would pillage
and loot our world acting as if they owned it.
Advanced knowledge or tools
aren't necessary for common house pets.
We must lead them where they
belong."
ELLY
"You were originally a land dweller. So why...?"
[Dominia turns to Elly.]
DOMINIA
"I was chosen by the Commander!
Don't look at me the same as
those stupid Lambs!"
[Dominia turns back to the side after pausing.]
DOMINIA
"Yes, well...
You've shirked the duty that was instilled in you
since your Jugend days.
Arguing with you is a waste of time."
[Dominia walks away a few feet then turns back to Elly.]
DOMINIA
"I was a surface dweller myself, but I'm going to purge the
-Lambs-.
I want you, the Shepherds, -Abel-, to see with your own eyes what I
can do."
[Scene fade.]
[Scene opens on Aveh. Camera pan to behind Fatima Castle, looking east, as the battleship dock opens and the Hecht and its escort launch out of it. Scene fade. Stop music.]
